Tika is helping Chernobyl infants

At the beginning of the year, the International Children's Chornobyl Survival Foundation appealed to Representation of the Turkish Directorate of Cooperation and Development (TICA) in Ukraine with the request to take part in charity events related to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, namely the launch of the humanitarian program "Turkish people - Children of Chornobyl" with the aim of:
A) purchase for the neurosurgery department of the Kiev Institute of Neurosurgery, which mainly carries children from the Chornobyl Zone, a device for artificial ventilation of the lungs for newborn infants;
B) organizations for improving the health of Chernobyl children living in the most radioactive contaminated areas on the Turkish seacoast.
The Turkish side responded to our request. And the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Turkish Republic to Ukraine Ahmet Bülent Merić, together with the coordinator of TIKA's programs, Ahmet Chinar, visited the Institute of Neurosurgery. Respected foreign guests in the presence of Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Oleksandr Tolstanov presented to the department of neurosurgery of childhood, which is headed by Professor Yuri Orlov, the device of artificial ventilation of lungs BEAR CUP 750 psv worth 235.5 thousand UAH
In the future, TIKA plans to repair the department of neurosurgery of childhood, as well as the improvement of the small Chernobyl victims.
