Chernobyl watch Mari Sasaki

In Tokyo, the solemn ceremony of awarding the Order of Princess Olga of III degree Director of the Chernobyl Children's Japan Fund Mari Sasaki.
Presenting the award, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Japan Igor Harchenko expressed gratitude to Mrs. Sasaki and all the staff of the Japanese Chernobyl Children's Fund for the substantial contribution to help Ukrainian children affected by the Chernobyl accident. At the same time Igor said that he was particularly pleased to present a high reward in the day of celebration of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Japan.
Symbolically, the work experience in Marie Sasaki Chernobyl Children's Fund Japan is also a quarter-century, where she first worked as a volunteer, and subsequently held the positions of head of the secretariat and facilitator on issues of humanitarian projects in Ukraine and Belarus, and, finally, the executive director. During this time, Ms. Sasaki has actively cooperated with the International Charity Fund "Children of Chernobyl for survival", periodically carrying out humanitarian trip to Kiev, Slavutich, Ljubech, White Church, and Ovruch Narodichi. And thanks to its efforts in the Tokyo edition of the quarterly "Children of Chernobyl", distributed among government, NGOs and international institutions of Japan was established.
