International Foundation for Children of Chernobyl for Survival announces Charity Children's Photo Competition "My Homeland - Chernobyl Zone".

Position About Charitable Photo Competition "My Homeland - The Chernobyl Zone"

The position was approved on November 2, 2010 at a meeting of the Council of the International Charitable Foundation "Children of Chernobyl for Survival".

The purpose of the competition
- Stimulation of creative, cognitive and social activity of affected children From the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
- Attracting the attention of the Ukrainian and international community to the lives and needs of children; Who live in areas of unconditional and guaranteed voluntary resettlement

Competition participants
Children from the age of 10 to 18 years old who live in areas of unconditional (mandatory) and guaranteed voluntary resettlement can take part in the competition.
Competitive competitions will be held in two age groups:
- younger - from 10 to 14 years old
- older - from 15 to 18 years old

Requirements for competitive work
You can submit your own photos, made no earlier than 2010 using film or digital cameras. Photos may reflect various aspects of the life of children (communication with relatives, friends and teachers, active outdoor activities - in the field, in the forest, near the river; assistance to parents in the home; care for the elderly, sick and disabled, care for the kids; Sensitive attitude to animals).
Each contestant has the opportunity to submit no more than five photos. Photos can be both colored and black and white. The size of the photo is from 10x15cm to 18x24cm.
On the back of each photo you must specify: the name of the picture; Place and time of shooting; Surname, name and age of the author; Home address; Contact phone or e-mail.
The organizers of the competition reserve the right to replicate, reproduce and demonstrate the provided photographs in the context of measures to cover the competition without paying the copyright fee, but with the indication of authorship and names of these works.

The order of the competition
Competitive photos are sent to the organizing committee of the competition at the following address: 01025, Kyiv, street Volodymyrska, 3, International Foundation "Children of Chernobyl for Survival". The envelope should be labeled "To the photo competition".
Photos of the contest are accepted until March 31, 2011. Photos will be evaluated by April 20, 2011. According to the results of the evaluation, the best works will be selected for participation in the photo exhibition "My homeland - the Chernobyl zone", which will be held in Kyiv in the third decade of April 2011.

Definition of winners
April 25-26, 2011, during the exhibition "My Homeland - Chernobyl Zone", an authoritative jury will designate the Grand Prix winner of the photo contest, as well as the laureates of the 1st and 2nd prizes in the younger and older age groups. All five laureates will be rewarded with a trip to the seaside for the sake of healing.
In addition, the jury will identify five winners who will receive commemorative prizes.
