In June 2009, the International Children's Fund Chernobyl Survivors funded a trip by 25 Chernobyl children from Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions to the picturesque Transcarpathia with financial support from the Chornobyl Children's Fund of Japan. The children were given the opportunity to undergo a course of treatment at the "Mountain Tisa" sanatorium in the resort of Kvasy near Rakhiv. For two weeks, young chornobyls actively strengthened their own health, and at the same time they became acquainted with the unique color of the Hutsul region. They made many walks to the shores of the shore of the Black Tisza River and the local mineral water sources there, and several exciting mini-wanderings to the mountain valleys and blueberries. A most memorable trips to the Geographical Center of Europe and Transcarpathian Biosphere Reserve.
